There is limited parking on Straits Turnpike near N 41° 33.595 W 73° 5.687. It is recommended that you make only right turns when entering and leaving, if you can, because of fast-moving highway traffic which may not see you.
Whether there is juniper here, I'm not sure. However, this is what the Sperry family, which owned this area, before donating it to the Middlebury Land Trust, called it. A blue-blazed hiking trail starts at the chained gate and passes within 170 feet of the cache Towering evergreen trees make it feel like you’re in a cathedral (there is a “Cathedral Pines” elsewhere in Connecticut, or at least there was).
