This cache was placed by the McHenry County Conservation District in honor of National Trails Day! It was intended to be active by then but circumstances did not allow this to happen but I figured better late then never! :-) Inside the cache are special items to celebrate this day. PLEASE honor this in the spirit in which this was intended and only take ONE item!
The title describes the general location nicely. Due to a fire in the area, the remains of a tree formed a sculpture. The cache is NOT within this tree so please leave it as is for others to enjoy. The cache is near! It is a clear plastic container.
