You'll be looking for a green matchstick container tucked neatly away from the "ingrown toenail". You'll know it when you see it.....don't worry....
I FINALLY made it out to my playground today on a mission to locate some decent parking for others to have a great time doing a "thru hike" cache. Parking for southern half of the Browning Hill trail system is included with this cache as an additional waypoint and has room for about 4-6 vehicles depending on how they park. It IS overgrown with weeds a bit but EASILY found. Take special note that depending upon the route you take to get here you'll have AT LEAST 1 creek crossing (cement underlayment) that usually has water running over it after a rain for a few days. Today the closest crossing was dry....if you come from near my other caches near the Maumee boy scout reservation you'll be crossing about 3 times. Keep that in mind if you have a low lying car. Should be fine if it's not rained for a while. Parking for a THRU hike on the Northern portion would be, in my opinion, best near DJHobby's "Nowhere Bridge Adventure Launch". Much easier to start the hike on the southern tip and then take the trip down the HUGE hill near the "Sacred Circle" cache.....trust me....
Anyway, been meaning to get out here and re-check my original findings on the southern half of the Browning Trail and low and behold....BINGO! Great nearby parking. Only thing is...if you're planning on a "thru hike" the ONLY place I can suggest for parking on the Northern section is near DJHobby's "Nowhere Bridge Adventure Launch" cache. There isn't really any good parking (that I can remember) right near the entry in Elkinsville....most of that area is private property. If anyone DOES however manage to locate something better please don't hesitate to post it on here for others and I'll add it as an additional waypoint. Combs Rd coming out of Elkinsville IS blocked off with cattle gates and IS private property as far as I know.
This trail isn't maintained at all so in several locations there are very large trees down that you have to either go way around or climb over so be prepared. Very juicy after rains as well. Any other questions please don't hesitate to fire me an e-mail & I'll try to answer what's not been already addressed here.
