Geocache Description:

This cache is the updated version of the original 2006 "The Treasure of the Queen Anne’s Revenge". In 2012 Hurricane Sandy destroyed the first stage Island Landing, so a new cache "Pirates Landing" cache was placed nearby.

Near this spot is where the Pirates landing party has come ashore to hide their treasure chest. Complete with a treasure map they landed on the shore, whith their treasure! The Pirates pulled out their telescopes to browse the shore around them, found a perfect spot ot place the X on their map (marking the treasure's location) If you dare to attempt to land on the shore and seek their treasure, beware of what lurkes.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS POISON PRESENT IN THE AREA, PLEASE BE CAREFUL APPROACHING THIS CACHE. THIS AREA IS SWAMPY, PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL AS LONG AS YOU CAN BEFORE APPROACHING THE CACHE.
