Geocache Description:

The HeatWave and Jayden GeoCache is located within the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge (http://www.fws.gov/northeast/assabetriver/).  When my brother and I were kids growing up in Maynard, we knew of this land as the "Ammo Dump".  Now that it is no longer restricted US Governmnt property, it is a great place to hike and spend time with nature.  So of course, it is now a perfect place to GeoCache!

This cache is named for Heatwave, the favorite RescueBot of the youngest male member of Team iDuke, and Jayden, the favorite Power Ranger of his older brother.  The cache itself is an old ammunition box for 5.56mm bullets.  Now it contains a logbook, two pens, and was initially stocked with a plethora of toys from McDonald's Happy Meals.  The cache is not too far off of Harry's Way, so you won't have to bushwhack much (or at all).   It is 2/3 of a mile from the parking area located at the end of White Pond Road.  As the cache was made by young children (5 and 4), it is designed to be found by kids.  The cache is not hidden in the nearby stone wall, so please do not tear the wall apart looking for it.

Now that we have found over 50 GeoCaches, we thought this would be a good time to leave one.  So, this is Team iDukes first!  We hope you enjoy it and have as much fun finding it as we did making it.
