This cache was placed to honor the service, sacrifice, and memory of a good friend of mine that I served with in Iraq - U.S. Army SGT. Atanacio Haro-Marin.
When I was thinking about making cache's to place, I thought about making one for Atanacio. SGT. Atanacio Haro-Marin made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation on June 3, 2003 in Balad, Iraq.
The cache should not be difficult to find. Inside are sheets of paper that give cache finders a brief history of SGT. Haro-Marin and a logbook. For the first to find, I placed inside an activated geocoin that I titled "U.S. Army SGT. Atanacio Haro-Marin Memorial Geocoin" for the FTF to start its journey. Other than the geocoin, logbook, and the history sheets, there are no other items in the cache. Feel free to take one of the sheets about SGT. Haro-Marin if you wish. If they are getting pretty low, please let me know so I can add more sheets. Same for the log, if it is getting full, please let me know as well.
If you find this cache, please respect the reason that this cache was placed...to honor and remember one of the many fallen Americans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, such as the freedom of geocaching. If you feel like putting something in the cache, please do not place garbage in it.
When you find the cache, please make sure that it is secured (sealed) and put back as you found it (or more concealed if it is not hidden well).
