Geocache Description:

Let's get ready for the second annual Lone Star Roundup!

Planning has begun for the second annual Lone Star Roundup Event and we’re reaching out to fellow cachers to volunteer! The event will require the help of several workers up to and on the day of the Roundup at Tyler State Park in September. The event is intended to be more social and less competitive than the annual Texas Challenge Event, and will include games, activities, chili and baking competitions, etc. More information can be found at www.texasgeocaching.com under “Events”, or Click Here. This meet, greet, eat and planning event will be held Saturday, 6/22/13 from 10:30 – 1:00 in Tyler State Park at the posted coordinates (Group Picnic Area #1). Afterwards, there are many caches available in the park and outlying areas for those of you needing to satisfy your addiction.

TeamML will be grilling hot dogs and serving canned drinks/water. Bring your own chips, cookies, etc. **Please post a “WILL ATTEND” with the number of people in your group so we can supply enough hot dogs.

State Park Notes: If you bring a dog, park officials require you to show proof of vaccinations prior to entry; it must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet; you are required to clean up the doo. Unless you have a State Park Pass, you will pay a $5 entry fee (12 and under are free). The picnic area has no pavilion but is very shaded. Although there are several picnic tables, you may want to bring lawn chairs for comfort.
