!!! Welcome to the South Windsor Wildlife Sanctuary !!!

Perched atop the highest point in South Windsor, the Wildlife Sanctuary was once a family-owned dairy for more than a century. The 159-acre preserve boasts panoramic views of the distant hillsides of northern and western Connecticut, Hartford's skyline in an oasis of green foliage to the southwest, several miles of relatively easy trails, a shaded walk through a white pine and larch forest, birding, letter boxing and, of course, geocaching.

This cache was placed during 2013 Trails Day. The event was hosted by the Central CT Cachers in conjunction with The South Windsor Walk and Wheel Ways and the SW Open Space Task Force.

!!! As always, enjoy the adventure !!!
