Geocaching Poker Run and Pot Luck Event on Sat, Aug 17th @ 4:30pm @ the Visitor's Center Park Pavillion in Blanding Utah. Come for a night of OUR version of Geocaching Poker Run, fun, food, laughter and prizes. Please BRING a pot luck dish to share with everyone. Drinks will be provided. There is NO cost to attend or for the Poker Run. This is why I say OUR version. Hence, no gambling involved. Please read items below. FYI: This pavillion and parking lot is handicap accessible.
Meet and Greet: 4:30-5:00pm
Dinner: 5:00pm
Poker Run: after dinner.
This poker run is different. There is no cost and everything is FREE. No gambling is involved. If you have never done a Geocaching Poker Run, let me say, it's easy, you will like it. Especially our version!! Here is what to except.
1. Register your family online, on this page. Tell us how many will attend and how many want to play the Poker Run. Adults may help children through this run.
2. Go to the Poker Run Table with SpecialScooter and register.
3. You will be given a large envelop, that envelop will have a letter on it. That letter represents the deck you will be assigned to. You must stay with that letter or deck throughout the Poker Run.
4. Write your name on the large envelop.
5. You will be given the coordinates to 5 geocaches. Put the coods in your GPS. You will have 60 mins to complete the Geocaching Poker Run
6. Go to the assigned 5 geocaches in Blanding. All geocaches will be a 30 or 50 cal ammo can. Take an envelop out of the geocache with the corresponding letter on it. Stay within the card deck you have been assigned. DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPS!!! ALSO: EACH OF THESE 5 GEOCACHES WILL HAVE FREE SWAG IN THEM. (Limited 40 items in each cache) No need for trade at these 5 geocaches unless all the free items are gone. Within about 100ft, there will be a listed geocaches that you can trade at. Get 2 geocaches in one area.
7. After completing all 5 assigned geocaches, take the envelops back to the table where SpecialScooter is at.
8. Remember not to open envelops and make sure all envelops have the same letter on them otherwise your hand will be disqualified. You must also return within 60 mins of the starting time.
9. The Event organizers will tally up all the cards and declare a winner. EACH deck of cards will have a WINNER. Prizes are donated geocoins and pins. Each winner will receive a geocoin and matching pin.

We have been asked by a few people if we could go and do the Night Caches along the North Creek Road in Monticello Utah. Both SpecialScooter and I will be there and we can go after the Event. If you need some travel info, please email SpecialScooter (Blanding) and Looking4rainbows or Utahbigga (Monticello).
If you plan to attend, plus write how many are coming and how many want to do the Poker Run. Adults may help children in this event. Please come and join us and other Geocachers at this event.
