The Manse is one of the oldest surviving buildings of Mt Druitt which was restored to it's current condition in 2008. It is now, the home of Mount Druitt Historical Society.
A local landmark known as The Manse, was built by John Harris in the mid-1880s; the land on which it was built was originally part of Druitt's property. Later it was sold to Robert Kennedy. Kennedy left it to the Presbyterian Church when he died, and it was used for some time as a manse. It was acquired by Blacktown City Council in 2000 and restored in 2008. It has both a local government and state government heritage listing. An important part of Mount Druitts history preserved for the future. There is a playground adjacent to the park & nearby shops for a casual caching experience. Some stealth may be required as it is a high traffic area. Nano so BYOP & possibly tweezers. I hope you enjoy my first placement.
