Geocache Description:

Pirates Trail 55.
The Tomb of the Scream.

This cache is part of the Akyaka Pirates trail which will link up with our other caches all the way back to Pirates Trail 1 in the Ancient city of Kaunos at the South end of the lake Koycegiz and further east around the lake towards Dalyan. GC3A7FR. Koycegiz.

This cache is a drive-by with what seems just a short walk to GZ, parking will take you to within 70 metres of the cache but please don't take those last 70 metres lightly especially during the heat of summer. This is the first of several caches which will join up Akyaka Pirate trail caches back to Koycegiz.

Spare a few moments to contemplate the surroundings while you're here and if you are feeling energetic make your way back to the zig-zag path up to the acropolis above.
