Geocache Description:

A little quiz on the game of golf, this is St Andrews, after all! Cache is not at the coordinates, but nearby.
You can park at the coords above, the bottom of the wee road to Feddinch residences.
Answer the questions and do the calculations to find coordinates of final location.

As I prepare this cache, the new Feddinch golf course is being built. It will be known as St Andrews International. The land was sold for a golf course at least 10 years ago, but nothing came of it until very recently. When finished, the golf course will be the 8th in St Andrews. It is designed by Tom Weiskopf and will be a par 72.

i. Answer the questions:

1. What is a golf course alongside the sea usually called? -----
2. What is the name of the small stick or stand used to support a stationary ball so that the player can strike it normally for the first stroke of every hole? ---
3. What are the men/women who help you and carry your bag round the golf course called? -------
4. What is the first golf club, usually a wood, you use when starting off on a hole called? ------
5. What is the name of the little piece of turf occasionally torn up by a golf club in striking a ball? -----
6. What is the name of the famous small stone bridge on the Old Course in St Andrews? -------
Example question (don't use): What is the name of the score you achieve when you hit 1 stroke below par? ------

ii. Number work:

if the letter a =1, b=2, c=3 etc... find the coords for the cache container:

56 18.UVW 2 49.XYZ

U= 1st letter of answer 1 - 6
V= 1st letter of answer 2 -11
W= 1st letter of answer 3 +0
X= 1st letter of answer 4 -1
Y=1st letter of answer 5 +4
Z=1st letter of answer 6 -14

Example number (don't use) Q= 1st letter of example answer +5
Q=(birdie) >> b b is number 2
2+5=7
