Geocache Description:

This geocache is part of the Gold Country Geocaching Poker Run 2013. All the fun of geocaching with an added twist; a poker run as well! Check goldtrail.com for more details. Tour through Gold Country and find the geocaches hidden for this event. There will be great views, scenic drives, historic communities and interesting sites to explore!

Another set of old logging roads in the Logan Lake area that are great for a nice walk through wild strawberries and flowers. If you branch off to the right from the parking spot you will be at the LL Cross Country Ski Trails another great place for a hike. As you walk through this area you can see the old ranching fences. Go farther and it will open up into some meadows along Chartrand Creek that flows back toward Logan Lake. Wild horses have been spotted in this area that have split off from the Tunkwa Lake herd. Deer also can be spotted in and around this creek, with 10-12 of them calling Logan Lake their home during the winter months. Hope you enjoy this walk as much as we did. There are fences along this road so please close them after you.
