Jacob’s Cache 7 – The Fork Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines:**"You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."**

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

Jacob’s Cache 7 – The Fork was hidden on a red-hot Sunday afternoon by two of the Tearcon family along with Jerry The Wonder-Dog; this cache marks the fork which leads to Dinnington, North Anston and Woodsetts. It is near busy roads, which means you may want to keep dogs on leads and hold the kids' hands. Also, being near roads means high muggle activity and high exposure, so stealth may be required...but that's what it's all about!

The ‘Jacob’s Cache’ mini-series has been placed to celebrate the end of Jacob’s first year at Hull University and his coming home for the summer. The area is significant in many ways and he has spent some very happy hours here as a child and as a teenager. The decision to make a series rather than a single cache was made by his younger brother, to make it ‘special’ and to make it more meaningful. The series is made up of nine caches, all along the road from North Anston to Woodsetts.
