Geocache Description:

Man’s Best Friend Series This series is dedicated to all my four legged canine buddies. I have had the pleasure of rescuing ten dogs from various situations – a junkyard dog, a throwaway, abused, and some from the Florida Humane Society. They have all stood by me through good times and bad. Each cache will be named after the dog in the order I had them. A brief description of each rescued dog will be included in this series. I hope you enjoy your doggie adventure.

Growing up we had always had a dog in the family. In 1975 I joined the U.S. Air Force and was assigned to the 91st Security Police Squadron at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. I decided it was only natural that I got my very own canine companion. While out searching for a brake drum for my 1969 Roadrunner in a local Minot junkyard, I came across a puppy under an old bus. God only knew what the breed combination was. To me, she was an authentic North Dakota Junkyard Dog. We became best friends and were together from February 1976 to April 1991. This cache is dedicated to Chopper, the authentic North Dakota Junkyard Dog. Since Chopper was in the Air Force with me, I would like to keep the SWAG to a military theme. You are searching for a 2qt screw top camo’d jar. Please replace how it was found. Contains FTF Buck. Available during daylight hours only. ******Congrats To Survey Bob & The Princess on FTF********
