Geocache Description:

When seeking this cache you can take a walk or drive to the nearest parking area, after that you will have to get closer to the water. Either way you will see some beautiful trees and several shelters built by the Civilian Conservation Corp.

Levings Lake Park is named after Thomas Goodsman Levings, who was Rockford Township's highway commissioner from 1886 until his death in 1924. The park was once part of the Levings family farm. Levings donated the land in 1920. It remained undeveloped until 1928, when Park Commissioners voted to renovate the park, dam Kent Creek, and create an artificial lake.

Levings Park Levings Lake is a great lake for fishing and boating (carry-on craft only). Standfield Beach activities include swimming, sand volleyball, boat rentals, and concessions.

To reach the cache you can take a nice walk around the lake or park just above its location.
