Geocache Description:

The Jay Recreation Area is a 150 acre woodland owned by the Town of Jay and abuts the Spruce Mountain High School/ Middle School Complex.  The cache was placed and maintained by students.  Students in the schools are actively involved in the management and development of the Jay Rec Area.

The cache is an ammo can painted brown!  The property can be accessed from the school.  Cross the baseball field and enter the trail head in center field.  Start up the hill and take the first trail on your left.  Follow the trail and watch your GPS to find the cache.  Look for the "wolf tree."  The property can also be accessed from the cell phone tower parking area by the rec fields at ehe end of Water Tower Lane.  Walk down the hill on the trail in the field and take your first left.  Follow the trail and watch your GPS to find the cache.  A wolf tree is a large tree that is much bigger than all the others in a section of forest. Look in the stone wall behind the tree.
