Geocache Description:

SCIENTISTS DISCOVER GENIUS RIVER OTTER!

A recent cache owner made the mistake of confusing a sea-otter with a river otter.  No insult was intended!

Hopefully, this cache corrects that mistake.

River otters are sensitive, but playful creatures. They have cute little feet, and can often be found in Mid-Peninsual preserves like Teague Hill, chewing on caches.

This species is highly intelligent, and even noted for their C++ programming skills. Some river otters have even mastered bit-slice microprocessors. One big furry one even wrote a hashing program to run on a graphics accelerator card. (We know this, because he bragged to all the other river otters.)

It must be admitted, however, that River Otters do suffer a bit from vanity. It is not unusual for them to be seen preening and posturing before the photographers. This is easily forgiven, as they are indeed very photogenic.

Sea Otters, on the other hand, while useful in their own way, hardly ever vacation in the Preserves, and do not usually bite cache containers. The programming skills of this breed are more rudimentary, limited to "Basic," "Pascal," and "Ada." They don't document their code well, and use variables with names like, "A" or "AA."

Most importanlty, River Otters most definitely are not just big salamanders, as some have rudely suggested.

No bushwacking required; not far off main trail.
This concludes the Teague Hill series (but not necessary the "E1n" series.)
