Geocache Description:

Park and Grab cache that is placed where
The Happy Bee's Great-Gram lived for many years
It is a LetterBox Hybrid Cache hidden at the posted coordinates

Over 30 years ago, Grandpa and Gram moved here from Sarnia. They cleared this little section of bush and built a nice home, garage, barn and made this property their retirement. Grandpa passed away in 1985, and Gram lived here, alone in the bush for another 25 years.
The Happy Bee, RubberRabbit and I miss her very much.
She was a fun lady, who always made us

Giggle

After Gram's passing, the property was sold to the National Park.
The park then removed all the buildings and they have "re-naturalized" the whole area.

This is a Geocache / LetterBox Hybrid that has been placed where the property was.

For those who are unfamiliar with LetterBoxing we will try to describe it. LetterBoxing is very similar to Geocaching with the exception that those who seek letterboxes seldom use GPSr units but rely mainly on hints that are posted on a website.
Another difference is that LetterBoxers do not trade swag but exchange stamp impressions which most LetterBoxers custom carve themselves. LetterBoxers stamp their trail/signature stamp image into the logbook and write any notes they want to add the same as a geocacher would do. They then make an impression of the Letterbox stamp in their own logbook.
Please feel free to join the letterbox fun. There are not nearly as many letterboxes in Ontario as Geocaches, but it is a nice supplement to geocaching.

In this box, you will find a regular Geocaching logbook and all the usual swag items. You will also find a small tupperware container that holds the actual LetterBox stamp and a logbook for stamp impressions. The box itself is a regular sized, clear loc-n-loc, that is labeled as both a Geocache and a LetterBox.
