This is a pleasant 2 mile stroll along the Ashby Canal from Gospall Wharf Bridge to Shackerstone. There is ample car parking at Gospall Wharf Car Park, but there is parking for a couple of cars at the side of the road near bridge 53 at Shackerstone. (see additional waypoint). There are 10 caches to find along the way, varying is size from nano to small box. All are beside or just off the towpath.
This stroll is child friendly, but please keep an eye on them as you are walking along the canal towpath, which a good off road buggy is advisable, as it can get very narrow in places and will get muddy after rain.
The Ashby Canal here can be quite busy as there is boat moorings close by and a boat winding point. The village of Shackerstone is just across the bridge and the entrance to the car park for the 'Battlefield Railway' is close by.
You will need to be very careful not to be muggled when retrieving this cache!
