For years Grandma Moses' best friend has been her pet donkey George. They have had good times and they have had bad times. One year ol George came down with the mumps and Grandma had to nurse him back to health for 9 months. After George got better Grandma took him riding through the pasture and then later they had a nice supper of biscuits, gravy and orange juice.
