Welcome to Silverton North Traditional Cache
qajaq-queen: The Village of Silverton has done some work in the area -- all has been bulldozed. The rock which hid the cache is gone (over the edge and into the lake?). The cache itself has been recovered - somewhat flattened -- and the contents will be moved to some other cache.

Another spot to grab views and photos of the lake. The best parking is across the road -- traffic can sometimes be heavy. Cross carefully. The Village of Silverton has placed another reminder of the area's history with the Welcome sign. These tram cars were used in the many small mines scattered throughout the mountains. Department of Highways uses this area also -- reminds truckers to "chain up" in the winter. August 2017 - the original cache location has been lost during the paving project. Co-ords now are N 49 57.202; W 117 21 682.
