Geocache Description:

The North Star Rest Area is situated some 35k south of the Queensland/New South Wales border en route south to Moree on the Newell Highway.

The rest area is a good overnight stop for travellers and is shared with trucks.  On week mornings and afternoons it is also the school bus route stop, so be aware of possible muggles at those times of day before and after school hours.
Toilets and rubbish bins are available here, and plenty of bush camping areas behind the trees lining the perimeter of this large Rest Area.

I named this the North Star Blues because I felt it was a crying shame there were no caches between the border and Moree, a stretch of over 100 kilometeres.  Someone had to fix this impoverished state of affairs, so why not me?
Further, I also believe it is a crying shame that not one picnic table with seating has been provided here.

This is a cute micro cache with no room for a pen, so please bring your own.  It is presently covered (slightly) with natural camo, so please help keep it this way. Thanks to TeamKross, local Geocachers, who have kindly offered to help me maintain it if necessary until I next come through the area for a check.. love the team spirit!
