This cache is found in the parking lot area of the Wanapum Upper Boat Launch, near Wanapum Dam off of State Route 243.

The cache is a part of the Foundation for Water & Energy Education's Hydro Cache Challenge http://fwee.org/nw-hydro-tours/fwee-hydro-cache-challenge/

The cache is easily accessible, does not require any hiking and has a nearby restroom and boat launch. Please obey all safety signs if recreating in the area and do not disturb the natural landscape. While in the area, visit the free Grant PUD Visitors Center near Wanapum Dam. http://grantpud.org/community/grant-pud-visitors-center
