A log-only poi pounder cache on a trail filled with activity. BYOP. Or dog. Or bike. Or lunch.
This is an addition to existing caches on the Canyonback Trail. As I was deciding on a hiding spot and type of hide, some dog walkers were just within earshot. They were talking about their dogs and one of them described her dog as a "poi dog". This is a commonly used Hawaiian term for mutt. With that, everything came together for this hide: location, hiding technique, and cache name. Creative license always a delight on the latter.
You're looking for a poi pounder shaped container hidden in common manner on trails, but not on the ground. You'll be able to spot it a few dozen dog-lengths away.
