Updated on 9/4/14. The stump was removed by the forest service. The cache will retain it's name.
This cache is one of fifty placed for the annual GeoTahoeSouth event held each June in South Lake Tahoe. Watch for the cache to be published or contact 4Woodys through his profile for more information.
Please do not leave any items in the cache that carry a scent, Tahoe is Bear country.
Take a stroll or bike ride into Washoe Meadows and enter into a lesser know area of South Lake Tahoe. This area consists of meadows and woodlands in the valley at the base of the escarpment leading to Echo Summit. The Upper Truckee River also flows through here. The meadow was named for the Native Americans who inhabited the area for thousands of years. If you follow the road north, it will end at Sawmill Road. The land will remain undeveloped, so bring plenty of water and some food for your journey. Don't forget to CITO. Located at the end of Chilicothe Street. Please don't block the gate and be quite, there are houses close by. Dogs must be on leash. Bring a pen.
