The Door County Parks Dept. oversees the development and operation of 19 county parks, covering approximately 948 acres and 12 miles of trails, 7 launching ramps, 3 swimming beaches, 14 restrooms and picnic and playground facilities. Permission to place Geocaches in the parks obtained from this department. (http://map.co.door.wi.us/parks). Bring your own pencil.
Cave Point is located on approximately 19 acres of land at 5360 Schauer Road in the Town of Sevastopol. The County Park is located on the East End of County WD adjacent to Whitefish Dunes State Park. Picturesque shoreline cliffs on Lake Michigan, picnic areas, ½ mile improved hiking trail (that connects up to more extensive trails within the adjacent State Park), parking and restrooms are the attractions and facilities at this park.
Take a walk in the park and view the lake or take a walk in the woods and enjoy the beauty of nature on the groomed trail.
