The original Environmental Centre is on the main road in Katelios, on the left if you're heading towards Skala.
It has now relocated round the bend - still on the left going towards Skala.
The cache is in the grounds of the original centre, placed with the kind permission of the staff there. Please do pop to the new location and have a look around if you have the time.
The relocation means that the cache is even more accessible as there is no reason for muggles to be there unless they have children on the play equipment.
The Environmental Centre hosts information not only about Loggerhead sea turtles, but also about all the wildlife of the area and of the island. It has displays about the marine life in Katelios bay, fishing techniques and traditions. Also about local herbs and vegetation, birds, terrestrial reptiles and geology.
You are looking for a clip lock box covered in silver gaffer tape which, at the time of placing contained a bracelet, a photo holder and a cuddly turtle for the FTF!
All of our Kefalonian caches are being maintained by friends on the island in between our visits.
