Geocache Description:

This is a fantastic area of the New Forest. There are plenty of walks to do in the area and it's good for a picnic as well. A walk by the river is strongly recommended (especially as there is another cache not far away). It is beautiful at any time of the year but especially in the Spring when the flowers are in bloom and the woodland floor gets carpeted in ramsons (wild garlic). There is also a chance of seeing parr in the river as well.

Beware! This can be an incredibly high density muggle area with everything from dog walkers, cyclists, horse riders, hikers and families having picnics! The cache is a small clip lock box inside a camouflage bag and the contents are particuarly child friendly (although the little geotots may need a hand from geomum or geodad to recover it).

This can be done as a cache and dash but we hope that you will take time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

There is an FTF button badge in the cache

There is a good sized car park just across the road from this cache.

Cache placed in accordance with the GAGB New Forest guidelines. Please note there is no night caching allowed in the New Forest.

Congratulations Rl440le - FTF
