The Centennial Series
The Centennial Series will be comprised of 100 caches placed during 2013 in celebration of the 100 year birthday party for the city of Banning, CA; a city that is becoming known as a cache rich area.
If you are new to Banning you need to know there is a major freeway access street, Sunset. Take it north to a rural residential area known as “the bench” by locals. Take it south to small ranches and of course geocaches all around, both north and south. What is east of Sunset? Sunrise. Have fun finding more of the Centennial seres. Sunrise Series is a five-cache series to keep you hunting in an urban setting. Respect the neighbors and replace all caches as you found them for the enjoyment of future cachers. We will see who gets all five FTF. All 100 caches in the series will be published throughout the year and will be located within 10 miles of the first hide Centennial #001 GC43KKQ. In December of 2013 we will release a Final Centennial Challenge Cache with a “First To Find” prize. The requirements to log the Final Challenge will be that you must have logged a find on all 100 of the caches in the series prior to logging the final. The series is intended to have something for everyone and will vary in style and difficulty. The caches will be placed by a team of three experienced Geocachers who reside in the area.
