This is a Challenge Cache, you must complete the elements of the challenge before finding and logging a find on this cache.
We were driving home recently and saw some road signs pointing towards the towns of Peru, Lebanon and Mexico. This got us thinking that you could “kind of” visit the world without leaving the United States.
The challenge: to find caches in twelve (12) towns, counties or state named after major Cities and Countries of the world, but located here in the USA. Country names are pretty straight forward, but for those world cities you are limited to country capitols, or those world renown cities that when mentioned, cause folks to think of the international city first. (i.e. Birmingham doesn’t count) We don’t want you scouring your world almanac trying to find if there is also a Kalamazoo some place in Eastern Europe. You can only count an International location once (i.e. Even if you have found caches in Paris TN, Paris KY, and Paris MI, you can only use one of them.) If you have doubts about one of your choices, contact us for our opinion.
Documentation can be in several fashions (listed in log, bookmark, excel file, GPX file, etc) but please provide in a manner that allows us to verify your completion.
We initial found 24 examples in our cache finds: (after seeing some other cachers lists, we realized we have more than we thought) We have been working to cache locations we find along our TB Group Tours and adding them the the list below.
