St Giles Hill in Winchester affords a beautiful view of the city.
The hill is only a 10-minute walk from the City Centre, and is a popular tourist site, with a viewpoint.
The hill is not very high, but is quite steep. It is easily accessible to anyone who is reasonably fit. I would not say it is suitable for wheelchair access.
You are looking for a micro cache, about one and a half inches long, made of transparent plastic.
The cache is situated off a large pathway, just downhill from the main viewpoint on St Giles Hill.
It is hidden in a tree, which lies near the bottom of a set of concrete steps, opposite some iron railings.
The tree has large exposed roots.
St Giles Hill can be busy at all times of day, so you need to be mindful of possible interference from muggles, courting couples, dog walkers, baby strollers, etc.
We put the cache a little way from the viewpoint, which acts as a focal point, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find without interference.
