Geocache Description:

Monona is celebrating it's 75th annaversery in 2013.  This cache is one of many to highlight our parks.  These caches will continue to be maintained by our parks and recreation department.  Enjoy! For the 75th event, make sure to note the letter written on the log sheet.

"This park, home of the Lake Monona Sailing Club, is located just west of the intersection of Winnequah Road and Parkway. A swath of green bisected by a rocky ditch, Stone Bridge Park is shaded by mature ash and willow trees. The park is lighted at night, and features a dock and sailboat hoist provided by the Sailing Club. About 20 boats are kept at the park during the summer.
Stone Bridge Park' has an amphitheater-like quality. The land descends to the waterfront, which provides outstanding views of Madison's Isthmus. A historic stone pagoda in the southwest corner of the park is picturesque, if in need of repairs."
