CYCLE OF LIFE

Geo Dogs and I were hiking up to Angora Peak putting caches out as the opportunity presented itself. This was a cool spot with the full cycle of life. It had a full grown hemlock fir growing out of a stump with lots of downed logs laying around. There were even a few saplings.
The cache is a small with no writing utensil in the cache though there is room for a small one, I just didn’t have any and couldn’t find any at Freddy’s this morning. This was kind of a spur of the moment cache. There is room for small trackables, like coins, though. There is a small prize for FTF.
It is about a 2 ½ mile hike to the cache. It is on a section of the hike that is on a heavily overgrown trail. Long sleeves are encouraged as I got my arms all scratched up in short sleeves. It is hidden behind a log just above the trail. There is a spoiler picture.
As with all hikes, wear the appropriate clothing, i.e. boots, long-sleeved shirts, rain gear etc. Bring water and food. It is a long hike. Know your limits and take that into consideration before starting. All this being said, enjoy the hike. It is a great hike in an area that is not visited a lot.
