DEAD MAN STANDING
Parking is at a locked gate. DO NOT BLOCK THE GATE. YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE TOWED.
Another cache placed on a hike up Angora Peak with Geo Dogs. We placed this one on the way down to make sure it was far enough away from the summit. By this time we were hiking with TeamGWOOD (see Angora Peak cache for full story). It was just a natural place for a cache. It was a “what the heck is that doing there” moment. You’ll understand what I mean when you get there. The "dead man" is no longer standing and is 30' down hill from the road.
The cache is like the others in the series, a small with room for small trackables like coins and small SWAG. There is no writing utensil because I couldn’t get any this morning before starting the hike. So BYOP. It is pretty obvious where the cache is.
And always remember to be safe when hiking and bring the appropriate gear like boots and rain gear. I also suggest bringing water and something to eat. And enjoy the hike. There is a small prize for FTF.
