This cache is no cake walk, however the view alone is worth all the trouble. Access this cache via the Moyie River road and park just on the other side of the tracks at marked coordinates. From there walk down the old logging road (to the left) to the posted trailhead coordinates. This cache is a short less than a half mile hike into the cache, less if you feel your car is able to handle the rutted out and eroded rock hill climb road down to the trailhead. I advise to not try to drive all the way to the trail unless you're confident your cachmobile can off-road well. From the trailhead it’s a short steep trail down into the canyon where you'll find yourself at the beautiful, historical, abandoned Eileen Dam. The cache is a regular sized ammo box. This again I stress is not an easy hike I would not recommend this for small children or anyone who isn't able to climb over rocks or is afraid to hike down a steep trail. The cache is located in the old hydroelectric pump house to the right at the end of the trail. Please be extremely careful when hiking down from the trail to the pump house. In order to get into the abandoned you need to walk around to the back side of the building to where there is an actual opening where you can walk in. Inside you'll be able to see a piece of history: the hydroelectric turbine that was actually used to create power! This whole area is not only beautiful but there is also great swimming and fishing here when the water levels are right. There is an area at the trailhead that could be used for camping. There is also a tunnel that leads from the building into the hill and out the other side inside the dam. Please explore at your own risk but most importantly have fun and take in the beautiful view! Please feel free to post pictures you've taken while in search of this cache. Happy Caching! Congratulations to Team Camocaching for the FTF!
