Geocache Description:

NOTE: Many thanks to all the users about the updates needed for our geocache trail and in particular claiming the final prize. Please know we are working on this and hope to have it completed by January.

Streams on the Yorkshire Wolds

Flowing water is a relatively uncommon site on the Yorkshire Wolds.  Most of the distinctive valleys are dry, because of the chalk geology of the area.

This geocache is located at Mill Beck, which no doubt fed water into a Mill at Mill House between Goodmanham and Market Weighton.  There are many associations with water near this site, Spring Dale, Springwells and St Helens Well to name a few.

This site is managed for its wildlife and value for walkers and cyclists by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

About the Yorkshire Wolds Way Geocache Trail

This Geocache is part of a Geocache trail between Market Weighton and Goodmanham for the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail.  Note down the one or two letters found on the lid of each box .  Visit all 5 boxes and unscramble the 9 letters to make two words, one of 4 letters and one of five letters.  The other geocaches in this series are

Yorkshire Wolds Way Geocache Trail – Railway

Yorkshire Wolds Way Geocache Trail -  Well

Yorkshire Wolds Way Geocache Trail – Quarry

Yorkshire Wolds Way Geocache Trail – Village

The final geocache at Goodmanham gives you details on how to claim a reward for each group of geocachers – a National Trail wooden acorn keyring.
