NOTE: Many thanks to all the users about the updates needed for our geocache trail and in particular claiming the final prize. Please know we are working on this and hope to have it completed by January.
Streams on the Yorkshire Wolds
Flowing water is a relatively uncommon site on the Yorkshire Wolds. Most of the distinctive valleys are dry, because of the chalk geology of the area.
This geocache is located at Mill Beck, which no doubt fed water into a Mill at Mill House between Goodmanham and Market Weighton. There are many associations with water near this site, Spring Dale, Springwells and St Helens Well to name a few.
This site is managed for its wildlife and value for walkers and cyclists by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
