Dragging Damson round Dalton 5
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache series is dedicated to my pooch Damson and follows one of our main dog walking routes.
It uses the quiet local roads and footpaths out of Dalton-In-Furness and out to one of the most picturesque farmhouses in the area in Springwood Bungalow Park Farm before returning back along the main Askam Road back to the advised parking spot consisting of 6 caches in total. (More may be added in future)
The adventure takes approx an hour to an hour and a half and good footwear is advisable.
One section in particular can be very muddy / boggy at the wrong time of year and wellies would then be required.
Please note that the busy dual carriageway has to crossed twice on this trip, initially the traffic can travel very fast, however on the return you utilise the roundabout between Askam & Dalton. Please ensure the safety of any children or animals. Both sides of the dual carriageway are gated to prevent accidents.
Friendly horses may also be present near caches 4 & 5. Please remain as close to footpaths as possivble and give them a wide berth.
Enjoy the walk and views ... Happy caching !
Cache 5 is small tube with log and pencil.
