When I (Dad2) was a kid I grew up playing in these woods with my friends. Whether we were riding our bikes, building a fort or playing manhunt this was our domain. Near this spot is one of the last stand of trees that made up "The Woods" as we called it. The Western Freeway now sits where we once played. I guess you can't stop "progress."
