Geocache Description:

A cache placed in celebration of my new whip

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tplCft1EeQA congrats to GreenBayChis for FTF :)

This is my second time visitning this location in the past three years. The story begins with the purchase of a 1994 Mercury Cougar xr7 v8, in 2010. I named him Bones. He was a two door sport coupe, rear wheel drive and I could take that baby up to 95mph in less than 60 seconds. My dream car. Bones went on many adventures with me and my family. Vacations in Delaware, getting lost in Maryland, a Ferry trip, caching, and he even pulled through for us on a few emergencies. By 2014, Bones could have been registered as a Classic. but his catalytic converter failed, transmission is ailing, and his suspension needs too much work. Bones just won't make the cut under my care....

After many months of discussions, arguments, and convincing from my Hubby, I decided it was time to hand Bones over to someone who has the time and money to restore him... Hopefully by next year, he will visit many car shows as a Classic beauty, and his new owner will love him as much as I did. We had a GREAT run together...

Today, 6/10/2013. I found myself here again, signing my life away, accepting a new pair of keys, and handing the keys to Bones over (with many tears)

I decided I was better fit for a Jeep. And let me tell you, the ride home was scary at first. Seeing someone in my car, my Bones, behind me. And driving a Jeep is waaaayy different from a low rider!!! But the Jeep was quickly winning me over. Its previous owner took great care of him, (new factory line tires, 2 inch lift, new altenator, new sound system, new vacuum lines, new factory line exhaust, the list goes on!) AND I HAVE A SUBWOOFER!! By the the time I got home a shy grin turned into a full on "Cheshire Cat" smile! I have dubbed the new Jeep "Bishop",, and let me tell you, so far, Bishop has made this transition easy.

Enjoy this find... and as you do, think about the cars that you have owned, or still do own. And how they were/are special to you, even so special that they were/are like family.... and think of the memories that they created along the way.....  and share your story...
