Geocache Description:

The cache IS at the listed coordinates.

This is a challenge, so additional logging requirements apply. Follow the requirements below to see if you qualify. The difficulty in this cache is all in the requirements. The actual hide is a 1 difficulty.

This is the first in series of caches to expand Minnesota caching across all the borders around the state!

The Challenge

Everyone knows that Minnesota's oldest cache is Alvin's Phone Line, and many have made the trek up to find the first and oldest cache in Minnesota. But what about those states that border us?

That's where this challenge comes in. The purpose of this cache is to get cachers out and trying to expand their horizons beyond the borders of this state. This cache is about getting out there and finding the oldest caches in the bordering states (and provinces).

I have compiled a list of the oldest caches in the surrounding states. Your challenge is to have found and logged at least three (3) of the caches from the list below.

I will also be awarding an extra special "Hall of Fame" status to anyone who has found ALL of the caches on this list!

Here is the list of the oldest caches around Minnesota:

Minnesota - GC9FF - Alvin's Phone Line
Wisconsin - GC3B1 - Pike Powder Hike
Iowa - GC162 - Maltese Goldfinch (Re-resurrected)
South Dakota - GC87F - Campcache or GC87E - CLIFFCACHE
North Dakota - GC551 - The Buck Stops Here!
Michigan - GC35 - Power Island
Manitoba - GC21C - C1BUA - cache 1n a builtup area
Ontario - GC2B4 - Deer Bait

If a geocache on this list gets archived, it will be removed from the list, and the next oldest cache for that state/province will be added to the list.

Here's an example log with my qualifications:
GC9FF - Alvin's Phone Line - 5/30/12
GC3B1 - Pike Powder Hike - 8/11/12
GC162 - Maltese Goldfinch (Re-resurrected) - 5/4/13

There you go! Now what are you waiting for? Get out there and find some geocaching history!

When logging the cache, you must include both the caches and the dates you found the qualifying caches.

LOGS NOT MEETING THESE CRITERIA WILL BE DELETED!

Congrats to BigChiefS4 on the FTF!
