Geocache Description:

This park was named after "Voyager incident"


This park was named after "Voyager incident" a collision between two warships the aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne and the destroyer HMAS Voyager on 10 February 1964 they were performing maneuvers off Jervis Bay. Melbourne's bow collided midships Voyager and was cut in two and sunk, and 82 of her crew killed.

On the other side of the park near the steps there was a plaque to acknowledge the loss of life in this incident but someone wanted the brass or bronze for themselves.
Please push the log to the bottom of the tube before putting on the lid.  

For the young ones there is play equipment in the park near by
