Snoogans: Sadly I'm archiving this cache that I have replaced TWICE and maintained for the last 20 months.
I was asked by a volunteer approver (9Key) to adopt this cache because of its low GC number. The previous owner was not maintaining the cache for whatever reason and did not respond to several emails about it from me and the approver. Jeremy himself approved the adoption.
Long lost owners can replace the container and reactivate this cache if they wish. By groundspeak guidelines, they will have to prove that they can maintain a cache at the location that they haven't visited in over 2 years, before it can be reactivated. I'll be picking up MY ammo can today.
It was their location to begin with and they deserve to have it back. It's a really secure spot for a cache and an ideal place for a travel bug hotel. I commend them on the choice.
It has been fun while it lasted. I would hope that they will leave the online logs intact, since it represents the history of this location.
Previously unknown history of this cache site: The cache was stolen and ransomed by a so called Cache Pirate around November 20th of 2003. I quietly replaced the container and they got bored with their stupid game when I didn't squawk about it online. Cache thieves only have the power to annoy you if you LET them.
Good luck to the new ummmm, old owners.

PS- I NEVER did get any email from them on this matter.
