Recently we made a trip on our motorcycles on what we call the loop. We start in Reno head over to Fernley, turn South on 95A. This takes us past small towns like, Silver Springs, Wabuska, Yerington, 'Wilson Canyon", Smith Valley, Wellington. From there our heading takes us to Minden, then over to Kingsbury Grade and on into South lake Tahoe. At that point we flip a coin to see if "we go around the lake or stay on the East side. Incline Village is next, then Mt. Rose Hwy takes us home. Often we stop at this point and flip a coin to decide our directions. Like shall we go South to Bridgeport and make the Loop that will take us to Hawthorne, then head North on 95 and take a left at Hwy 50 into Carson City then home. Makes for a good ride. The smells are comforting, to this country boy. I really like it when the harvest of the onions and garlic happens. Fresh cut hay hammers me with childhood memories and good times with family. Something about an early morning ride, when the "cold spots" in the valleys and the mist of a rising dust from the fields, mountain smells and a quick rabbit play with a nagging contentment, that this could go on forever. Local church bells are often heard and yards sells are common very near here. Please be a good neighbor while visiting this spot n "watch out for the low flying ducks" k.
