Geocache Description:

This is a small clip box containing the usual goodies with room for small travel bugs, logbook and pencil. Parking near the cache but do not block the road please.
The cache is placed on a very ancient highway, in medieval times this was the main highway from the Great North Road through the villages to the Royal stronghold of Richmond. Hard to believe now. Before the development of the recent A1 upgrade, there was New Inn (farm), where Dick Turpin and his trusty steed Bess were reputed to have frequented. This lane is named after the Inn.
