Geocache Description:

Located at the Seneca mine, #1 shaft.  The Seneca mines opened in the late 1800's.  This shaft (even though #1) was the last shaft, started in 1919.

Cache is located in the Boiler/Compressor building of the mine.  There is some private property to the south, so watch which trail you take.  You can go all the way to Seneca Loc and drive in from the north.  There is also an ATV trail coming from the east which goes right past the cache.  I have included a map of the mine workings.  Stop to check out the dam off the main road.  Downstream of the spillway are a variety of pipes and valves.
