Welcome to the Who was Sarah W.? This is a micro cache designed to introduce you to some of the history of Orange County, New York.
Sarah W is an important historical figure in Orange County, NY’s history.
The cache is easily accessible by road and is only about a 100-foot walk from the car.
The cache is in a double black 35mm film canister.
This cache is a monument dedicated to her and it marks the location of her first home a log cabin. After
you visit the monument you should drive down the road a couple of miles to N41 25.876,
W074 15.720. This is the location of the house he husband built for them to live in after
they were married. The house is now a private residence but I have never had any complaints about driving down the driveway and taking a look. It also has great historical significance to the area.
Please just respect their privacy.
I was only able to fit several “Wheresgeorge.com” bucks in the cache, it’s small so plan accordingly. The cache log is in the form of a scroll, Let me know when it’s full and I will replace it.
The spoiler below is for those of you without a GPS. When I started this sport I didn’t have a GPS and I was grateful for a couple of caches that I could do just to get my feet wet and see if this sport was for me.
