Paul n Susan: It appears that high water carried away this cache. Many thanks to all who visited this tribute to GCDFB and had a chuckle along with us.

Geocache Description:

4.5lb Steelhead

on the Beaver River Canoe Route

If you have happened upon this cache listing in error, please accept our apologies. This listing is for 4.5lb Rainbow Trout, not 4.5lb Pickerel. That's a different cache.

Boat access - canoe or kayak if coming South to North, same if coming North to South. Best to try in the summer when the water is lower. No need to wear a bug jacket in the spring/summer! Not a first time cache placement - You probably won't need the hints.

Red plastic cache:

  • Mark Osborne hockey card1
  • Steve's guitar pick
  • 3' phone cord
  • $.55 Canadian Tire Money
  • $.46 Canadian Stamp2
  • Mead Note Pad
  • Pencil
  • Lip balm
  • Vinnies game token
  • Mepps fishing lure

Notes:
1. A laminated fake. Where in the year 2013 are we gonna find a Mark Osborne hockey card?
2. Due to inflation, it has gone up to $.48

This cache is located on the Beaver River Canoe Route, and is accessible by watercraft only.
