This cache is our first hide, and in one of our favorite locations on the island. Providenciales is our home away from home and we have noticed that the island is lacking in geocaches. Our plan is to hide a new cache each time we visit with the hope that fellow geocachers will explore the island and enjoy it as much as we do.
Carved into the bedrock and several large stones, Sapodilla Hill is the site of multiple rock carvings, featuring dates and names of sailors who stopped by the island in the 1700's. Several interesting designs can be found, including many with Masonic symbology. The site also offers excellent views of Sapodilla Bay, Taylor Bay, and South Dock.
