Geocache Description:

Historically, there was a railway station in the older quarters of Newtonhill but this has now become defunct, operating as a signalling station only. Newtonhill became most noticed historically for its fishing industry; the old smoke house is still visible in the lower village, though this is also not in operation.

Having noticed Newtonhill is a bit of a cache - free zone, we decided to rectify that with another in our sidetracked series.  Although there is no station, we've placed this one close to where it used to be and where the signalhouse is visible where the cache is. Be careful not to drop it!
